TEDxCapeTownED - 16 June 2012

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, the international TED idea-spreading movement (www.TED.com) has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized, non-profit events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxCapeTownED, where x = independently organized TED event and ED is for Educators who convey ideas in under 12 minutes!

At our TEDxCapeTownED event, live speakers and TEDTalks videos will combine with an audience passionate about education to spark deep discussion and connection.

Join us from 9h00 to 17h00 on 16th June 2012 at the Ratanga Junction MegaVu venue near Canal Walk to hear some inspirational educators tackle some of South Africa's toughest questions, attempting to answer them with innovation, enterprise and enduring optimism. A TEDx event is a place in our community that inspires people to change our lives, our futures and ultimately, our world.

TEDxCapeTownED is about creating opportunities for cooperation, innovation and learning, relevant to education and learning in South Africa, in a fun, professional way.
